In 1870 George Garvin Brown created Old Forester on Louisville, KY's, famous Whiskey Row. In honor of that milestone year in bourbon history, we have crafted a tribute – Old Forester 1870 Original Batch – the first expression in the Old Forester Whiskey Row series.
1870 Original Batch echoes George Garvin Brown's original batching process. Back then, Brown batched barrels obtained from three distilleries to create a consistent flavor profile. To emulate that process today, we also select barrels from three warehouses, each barrel originating from a different day of production, with a different entry proof and a different age profile. The three expressions of Old Forester are then batched together and minimally filtered to craft Old Forester 1870 Original Batch.
A. The Booze Cartel Shipping Insurance must be purchased at time of checkout in order to cover lost, stolen or damaged shipments.
B. Spillage, minor damage and/or cosmetic defects are all possible to occur during transit. The Booze Cartel does not take responsibility for minor damage.
C. The Booze Cartel is not responsible for any lost shipments, including but not limited to packages lost because of hold requests or delivery rescheduling.
D. If the package is returned due to failed delivery, a twenty-five percent (25%) restocking fee will be deducted from your refund. Shipping costs will not be refunded.
E. If the package is returned to The Booze Cartel damaged because of failed delivery attempts or refusal of delivery, you are responsible for the full cost of the order.
F. You must be at least 21 years of age to order and a signature of someone at least 21 years of age is required upon delivery.
G. The customer is solely responsible for the shipment of alcohol and must abide by their local and state laws.
