Daftmill is one of Scotland's few true farm distilleries, run by the Cuthbert family in the Fife countryside of the Lowlands, where the barley is grown on the estate and distilling happens only between farming seasons. The Single Farm Estate series carries that field-to-cask story in full, and this 12 Year Old Cask Strength release presents the distillery's patient, small-scale spirit at its most undiluted expression.
In the glass it leads with orchard fruit and fresh-cut barley, opening into honey, vanilla, and soft citrus as it breathes. The cask-strength delivery gives the malt real weight on the palate — creamy and fruit-laden rather than aggressive — and a few drops of water unlock further layers of meadow sweetness and gentle oak spice before a long, warming finish.
Daftmill's output is famously tiny and its releases disappear quickly, making this a genuine trophy pour for Lowland enthusiasts and a standout gift for any serious Scotch collector. Pair it with other allocated single malts from the Liquor Geeks whisky wall to build a tasting flight worth remembering. Ships to most US states. Adult-signature required at delivery.
